Ticku Fellowship Award Ceremony 2010

 

A gift of $100,000 from family, friends and colleagues of the late Maharaj K. Ticku, Ph.D., has established the Dr. Maharaj K. Ticku Professorship at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio.  Charles P. France, Ph.D., professor of Pharmacology in the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, is the inaugural holder of the professorhip.  Dr. Ticku was an internationally renowned and esteemed scientist who served for 29 years as a profressor of Pharmacology and Psychiatry in the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.  He died in 2007.  The professorship was established to honor his legacy of achievement in research and his commitment to education.
