Course Name: Therapeutics: Endocrine Pharmacology

Course Content:
This course will provide a background of the pharmacology of major endocrine systems. Lecture topics will include: an overview of endocrine physiology; thyroid and parathyroid drugs; insulin and oral hypoglycemic drugs; sex steroids and adrenal steroids.
Grading: The course will include one examination and one class discussion based on a journal article. Grading will be based on the exam (60%), class participation (35%), and attendance (5%). The course will be graded on a lettered scale.
Pre-requisites: INTD 5000 and consent of Instructor
Credit Hours: 0.5 credit
