Course Name: Therapeutics: Pharmacological Management of Pain

Course Content:
This course will provide an overview of modern pharmacological approaches used in the treatment of pain. Lecture topics will include: opiates/NSAIDS; local anesthetics; general anesthetics.
Grading: The course will include one examination and one class discussion based on a journal article. Grading will be based on the exam (60%), class participation (35%), and attendance (5%). The course will be graded on a lettered scale.
Pre-requisites: INTD 5000 and consent of Instructor
Credit Hours: 0.5 credit
