The Brain Bowl is a quiz show which tests the knowledge of undergraduate neuroscience students. Brain Bowl questions range from relatively easy to very difficult, covering fields of neuroscience research including (1) neurophysiology, (2) neuroanatomy, (3) neurochemistry, (4) drugs and the brain, and (5) the brain and behavior. In this year's competition, teams from Texas A&M University and Trinity University competed against the 2007 champions from The University of Texas.

The competition for this year's contest was fierce and after
the first round of questions, Texas A&M held a slight lead
over The University of Texas and Trinity University.

By the end of the second round, the team from The University of Texas
had pulled into a slight lead. But the team from Texas A&M regained the
top spot on the score board with the final Brain Bowl question
and walked away with the trophy!

Following the competition, the contestants and their coaches
enjoyed a reception hosted by the Department of Pharmacology.
