Farewell to Dr. Jimmy Roberts

The Department of Pharmacology hosted a reception on August 22nd to honor Dr. Jimmy Roberts as he leaves us to join the Biology Department at Trinity University as the Ruth C. and Andrew G. Cowles Distinguished Professor of Neuroscience. He will continue to carry out his research in his new position while also teaching undergraduate Neuroscience classes.
Dr. Roberts was presented with a desk clock and chair by his colleagues and friends in the Department of Pharmacology. While he'll be missed on a daily basis, he will maintain his professional relationship with UTHSCSA as a part-time Research Professor.
