Graduate Student Roma Kaul selected to submit NIH/NCI grant

Congratulations to graduate student Roma Kaul for being selected by our internal faculty reviewers to be the UT Health San Antonio nominee to submit her grant to the Limited Funding Opportunities offered by the National Institute of Health (NIH)/National Cancer Institute (NCI) Predoctoral to Postdoctoral Fellow Transition Award (F99/K00)!

The NCI Predoctoral to Postdoctoral Fellow Transition (F99/K00) Award supports outstanding Ph.D. and other Research Doctoral candidates complete their dissertation research training (F99 phase) and transition in a timely manner to mentored, cancer-focused postdoctoral career development research positions (K00 phase).

The title of Roma's grant submission is: 'Molecular Breast Cancer Theraputics: Staging my career as a multidisciplinary translational scientist'. The funding opportunity award announcement is expected this summer. Roma is conducting her research in the lab of Pharmacology Professor Susan Mooberry, Ph.D..
