Pharmacology Student Fernando de Moura
receives ASPET/EB Travel Award!
Congratulations to Pharmacology graduate student Fernando de Moura on being selected for an American Society for Pharmacology & Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET) Underrepresented Graduate Student Travel Award!
This award is presented to outstanding individuals to enable them to present their research at one of the largest biological scientific meetings in the world. The Experimental Biology meeting is a gathering of more than 14,000 scientists from over 65 countries representing the fields of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, nutrition, pharmacology and immunology. The award will help defray the costs of travel, housing and registration to attend the ASPET Annual Meeting at Experimental Biology 2016 in San Diego, CA.
Travel award recipients will attend the Graduate Student-Postdoctoral Colloquium and the ASPET Business Meeting and Award Presentations, at the meeting.
The title of Fernando's poster is: 'Differential Antagonism and Nicotine-Induced Tolerance/Cross-Tolerance Among nAChR Agonists in Mice'
Fernando is a member of the McMahon Research Group, Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology.
