Research

Steven’s project focuses on the directed neural differentiation of induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells derived from the common marmoset (Callithrix jacchus). His project investigates early neutralization mechanisms and the fate patterning between neural progenitor cells (NPCs) and neural crest cells (NCCs). Steven is a trainee in the Dentist-Scientist program and has strong interest in developing cranial-specified NCCs for use for cranial-facial tissue regeneration strategies.
