Research Interests

Research Summary

Examining the effects of aging on peripheral nociception and the ability of opioids to produce antinociception across different age groups. Utilizing behavioral paradigms and cultured sensory neurons, my work will aim to unravel the changes in peripheral nociception that occurs from aging. Moreover we will use this knowledge to aid in the development of improved analgesic drugs for the aged population.
